HOPE - Telephone Crisis Intervention

We provide Emotional / Psychological support, to anyone in emotional difficulty, struggling to cope, or at risk of suicide through Telephone Helpline Interventions in Ghana.

Our workers listen without judging people or telling them what to do, and the service can be contacted by phone.

The primary aim of this service is to relieve distress and thus reduce the number of self-harm, Mental Health deterioration, and suicide. We recognise "the importance of being listened to, in confidence, anonymously, and without prejudice" and "value that a person has the fundamental decision about their own life." We have no political or religious affiliations and the beliefs of our workers are not imposed onto callers. Workers are well trained and supervised by an experienced Psychologist with over 25 years in the Mental Health field. We respect our clients privacy so confidentiality and Data protection is paramount to our Service provision.
